PUTNEY TOWN REGATTA
(as at and taken from the programme of the Fourteenth Regatta
on 25 July 1929)
1. The Officers
shall consist of a President, Vice-Presidents, an Honorary Treasurer and an
Honorary Secretary.
2. The
Committee shall consist (subject to clause 4) of not more than 25 persons in
addition to the Officers, who shall be ex-officio members.
3. The Annual
General Meeting shall be held in February or March and shall be open to all
bona-fide supporters. At each Annual General Meeting the Officers, the
Committee and two Auditors for the ensuing year shall be elected.
4. The
Committee shall have power to fill any vacancy which may arise or to add to the
number of Vice-Presidents or to their own numbers.
5. The
Committee shall have full control over the management of the Regatta, provided
that the Accounts of each Regatta shall be submitted for approval at the next
Annual General Meeting.
6. The
Committee shall have power to appoint such Sub Committees as they may think
fit, but each Sub Committee shall report to them and be subject in all respects
to their control.
7. The Committee
and Sub Committees shall elect their own Chairmen and shall meet from time to
time as occasion may require, but a special meeting of the Committee shall be
called by the Honorary Secretary at any time on receipt of a requisition signed
by not less than six members or ‘ex
officio’ members and specifying the object of such meeting, and at least
seven days’ notice thereof shall be given.
8. This
Constitution shall not be altered except at an Annual General Meeting.
